The Diggers’ baseball team finished their regular season with a win clinching the second seed in next week’s district tournament.

Sugar will play Teton again Monday in Sugar City at 3 p.m. in a doubleheader to open the district tournament. If the team’s split they’ll play again Tuesday in Driggs. The winner of that series will play a best of three series with South Fremont starting Friday.

Meanwhile Sugar’s softball team took out their frustrations from a loss to South Fremont the day before on Teton.

The Diggers scored 16 runs in three innings.

Sugar will play Teton in the first round of the 3A district VI tournament Monday at home. The winner of that game will face off with South Fremont Wednesday in St. Anthony.
