South Fremont and Madison baseball teams don’t get the opportunity to play each other often but with South Fremont moving up to AA, South Fremont and the Rockies, a Legion team with mostly Madison players on it, will play regularly.

The Rockies won all four games in two double headers Tuesday and Wednesday.

Jaden Schwab pitched six innings for the Rockies allowing six hits and no runs with six strikeouts and two walks. Wyatt Gilbert pitched an inning allowing two hits and no runs.

Sawyer Klingler pitched all six innings for South Fremont allowing nine hits and three runs with four strikeouts and one walk.

Jordan Porter and Curtis Drake went 2/3 at the plate. Curtis Drake hit a triple and Landen Drake hit a double.

In their second game Tuesday, the Rockies won 10-2. Five of the Rockies runs came in the first and four more came in the fourth. South scored both their runs in the fifth.

Taran Clark pitched four innings for the Rockies allowing two hits and no runs with seven strikeouts and two walks. McGwire Jephson, Dayne Lounsbury and Jordan Porter each pitched around an inning.

Karter Yancey pitched three innings allowing eight hits and five runs with three strikeouts and two walks. Payton Hollist pitched two innings allowing no hits and one run with two strikeouts and two walks. Kaimen Peebles pitched one inning allowing four hits and four runs with no strikeouts and one walk.

Curtis Drake, Nick Fullmer, Moki Jensen, McGwire Jephson and Jordan Porter each hit a double for the Rockies.

Payton Hollist hit a triple and Kaimen Peebles went 3/4 at the plate for South Fremont.

In their first game Tuesday, the Rockies won 3-0 scoring one in the third and two in the fifth.

In their first game Wednesday, South Fremont took a 3-2 lead in the first but East Idaho scored four runs in the second then 2-1-2 in the next three compared to South’s 1-0-1-1 to win 11-6.

East Idaho’s Curtis Drake went 3/5 at the plate with a double and Mason Flanery went 3/4. Peyton Boudero and Moki Jensen also each hit a double.

Payten Hollist went 2/3 with a double for South Fremont. Karter Yancey, Bryan Popocatl and Easton Kerbs also went 2/3.

East Idaho’s Landon Drake pitched a little over four innings allowing 10 hits and five runs with a strikeout and two walks. Wyatt Gilbert pitched a little over two innings allowing two hits and one run with two strikeouts and five walks.

South Fremont’s Bridger Erickson pitched a little over three innings allowing five hits and seven runs with three strikeouts and two walks. Bryan Popocatle pitched three innings allowing four hits and one run with one strikeout and four walks.

In their second game Wednesday, The Rockies won 4-0 without scoring until the fifth inning. They scored a run in the fifth inning then scored three in the sixth.

Dylan Rydalch pitched six innings allowing four hits and no runs with 11 strikeouts and three walks. Curtis Drake pitched an inning allowing one hit with no runs, strikeouts or walks.

South Fremont’s Reese Yancey pitched 5.2 innings allowing six hits and four runs with two strikeouts and three walks. Payton Hollist pitched a little over an inning allowing one hit with no strikeouts and three walks.

Mason Flanery went 2/3 at the plate and Moki Jesen went 2/4. McGwire Jephson hit a double to get the Rockies their lone multi-base hit.

Maupin went 1/2 at the plate and Erickson Peebles and Seth Klingler went 1/3.

Karter Yancey, Bridger Erickson and Kaimen Peebles made a double play for South Fremont.

South Fremont will play their next game against the Twin Falls Cowboys at CSI. The Rockies play Evanston, Wyoming in a double header Friday.
