The Rockies went to Jackson this weekend despite playing with 10, 11 and 9 players on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

In their lone Thursday game, the Rockies lost 13-1 to 2019 Excelsior Senior Legion in four innings. After holding Excelsior to two runs in the first inning, the Rockies allowed 11 runs in the next two innings.

Peyton Boudero pitched two innings allowing nine hits and 13 runs with five walks. Dayne Lounsbury threw 20 pitches allowing two hits and no runs with a strikeout and a walk.

Nick Fullmer and McGwire Jephson each hit a double and Dylan Rydalch and Trey Saathoff had the other two hits in the game.

In their first game Friday, the Rockies bounced back to beat the Gillette Riders 12-7. East Idaho took a one-run lead into the final inning and outscored the Riders 12-7 to win the contest.

Curtis Drake pitched two innings allowing five hits and five runs with no strikeouts and four walks. Taran Clark with a little over four innings allowing three hits and two runs with no strikeouts and four walks.

Boundero and Clark were each involved in two double plays and Landen Drake and McGwire Jepson were also involved in double plays.

Moki Jensen went 3/4 from behind the plate and Curtis Drake went 3/5 with a triple. Clark and Saathoff hit doubles.

In their second game Friday, the Rockies lost 12-4 to Lone Peak in five innings. East Idaho scored a run in every inning but the first but could never go on a run of runs and allowing five runs in the fifth did them in.

Wyatt Gilbert pitched four innings allowing 12 hits and 12 runs with two strikeouts and two walks. Saathoff threw six pitches allowing two hits.

Curtis Drake, Nick Fullmer and Dayne Lounsbury were each involved in a double play.

East Idaho beat Billings, Montana 7-6 on a Jephson walk-off single in eight innings in their final game Saturday.

Rydalch pitched four innings allowing four hits and three runs with six strikeouts and one walk. Lounsbury pitched two innings allowing three hits and three runs with one strikeout and four walks. Jephson pitched a little over an inning allowing no hits or runs with a strikeout.

Saathoff and Fullmer each went 2/4 at the plate, Clark and Lounsbury hit doubles and Fullmer hit a triple.

The Rockies next games are Tuesday against the Twin Falls Cowboys at CSI Field at 4 and 6 p.m.

The Rockies also played Minico Monday but their games ended after Standard Journal production deadlines.
