REXBURG − Tuesday evening, a vehicle was traveling Southbound on Highway 20 near milepost 333 and exited the roadway at highway speeds, said Captain Gary Hagen of the Rexburg Police Department.
He said the vehicle crashed through a fence and struck three parked, unoccupied, vehicles. It then hit a townhouse.
"Police responded to a crash where a vehicle left the highway and came to rest on Sunflower road after striking multiple vehicles and property," the Rexburg Police report read.
He said the vehicle in question had two occupants and the driver sustained major injuries. The passenger was not injured. There were no injuries to anyone else in the building that was plowed through. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
