The motorcyclist was headed westbound when he hit a horse trailer being pulled by a truck as it turned east onto the highway, ISP told the Standard Journal.
The accident caused traffic in both directions to back up for several miles for at least an hour.

The fatality is the sixth experienced in the Upper Valley since July 17. The following day a former Fremont County Commissioner candidate was killed north of Ashton.
On July 13, a five-year-old boy suffered injury after he was run over by a trailer at an Island Park campground. The child is recovering at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City. A fourth teen in the July 17 accident is also recovering from her injuries at Eastern Idaho Medical Center.
Fremont County Sheriff Len Humphries urged everyone to use caution while driving.
“I would encourage people to slow down and be aware of what’s going on around them,” he said.
