At 4:10 p.m., on Wednesday the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office received several 911 calls about a drowning by Stone Bridge in the Warm River are.

“People on scene were able to pull the victim from the water and start administering aid,” said the sheriff’s office in a press release.

The Ashton Police Department, Fremont County Sheriff’s Deputies, and Ashton EMS arrived and took the 68-year-old victim, Robert Ballou, of Andrews TX to Madison Memorial Hospital. Mr. Ballou was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

His family has been notified.


The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office as well as the Ashton Police Department and Ashton Ambulance responded to reports of a drowning Wednesday night on the Henrys Fork River below Warm River.

The man was transported to Madison Memorial Hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

No more information will be released at this time pending family notification.
