After missing the traditional Thanksgiving program last year due to the pandemic, the program is scheduled to move forward this year.

This means the Community Choir will begin rehearsals for that annual program on Sunday, October 17, 7:30 p.m. in the Rexburg Tabernacle. Steve Dresen, choral director at Bonneville high School, and frequent conductor for this holiday choir, will conduct the ensemble in learning six pieces in the six Sunday rehearsals. No audition is needed, but choral experience is necessary to learn the music in a short rehearsal schedule.

The community choir provides most of the free program, along with guest performers, plus a narrator who will offer a seasonal message. This annual event has been sponsored by the City of Rexburg for more than 25 years with Gwyn Harris as program director.

This hour of gathering to express gratitude is traditionally a place to not only enjoy the musical offering, but to meet friends and neighbors who may be in the area for the holiday. Many people make it a part of their holiday tradition and celebration before the feasting.

Bring family, friends and neighbors to the free program to observe a time of gratitude.
