The Rexburg Free Clinic will be holding a donation drive from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, at the clinic’s location on 60 West Main St.
Makena Wilkinson, clinic public health intern, said the clinic holds the drive biannually to help raise funds for the organization.
“We had a really good turnout last time,” she said. “We had to extend the time frame of the lot sale by an hour.”
The clinic will accept clothing, furniture, décor and other related donations which will be a part of the clinic’s spring lot sale.
“All the donations will be used to help raise funds for us so we can continue to help the community,” she said.
Wilkinson said there is no set price on the items donated so the clinic can help as many community members as possible.
“If someone needed a couch for $15, we could do that for them,” she said.
The clinic’s mission is to strengthen individuals and families in the community by promoting health and wellness through providing free, high-quality primary care, and medical services to an underserved population in Rexburg, according to the clinic’s website. The clinic provides free basic medical and mental health care for individuals and families who do not have the ability to obtain healthcare elsewhere.
