BYU Vocal Point returning to BYU-Idaho

Vocal Point is a popular male A capella group from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT.

REXBURG, Idaho—Vocal Point, a popular male a cappella group from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, will perform Friday, Jan. 25, at 7:30 p.m. in the Hart Auditorium at Brigham Young University-Idaho in Rexburg.

Tickets for the Center Stage Performing Arts Series event are $12 for the general public and $6 for BYU-Idaho students for floor and red seats and $10 for the general public and $5 for BYU-Idaho students for bleacher seats. Tickets can be purchased at the BYU-Idaho Ticket Office, by calling 208-496-3170 or online at tickets.byui.edu.

Vocal Point takes popular songs and reworks them to deliver new renditions, complete with all the complex instrumentation done entirely with their mouths. Along with these covers, the nine-man group is well known throughout the world for their high-energy performances which display a wide range of vocal ability and covers all genres of music including rock, pop, country, jazz, and R&B.

"Vocal Point always brings such a great energy to the stage that really spreads to the audience and gets everyone excited and energized throughout the entire performance," Center Stage Director Malarie Hahn said.

Vocal Point has also produced 18 music videos which have accumulated over 18 million views on YouTube.
