Jack and Loudene (Wilding) Dove of Rexburg were married on August 28, 1959, and are celebrating their 60th anniversary with family and friends. Loudene graduated from Sugar Salem High School. Jack graduated from Byron High School in Byron, Wyoming. They met a year later at Ricks College and were married in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They lived in Utah, Arizona, Nebraska, Idaho, North Carolina, and Wyoming as they raised their family. They have been back in the Rexburg- Salem area for the past 15 years.

Jack enjoys the outdoors, classical music, playing the trumpet, and doing genealogy. He is known and loved by his family for his “jocularity”, optimism, and the occasional tear in his eye when his heart is touched by music. Loudene has used her artistic talents in oil painting, ceramics, crocheting, scrap booking, and sewing. Her family loves her tender heart, sympathy, thoughtfulness, and being a peacemaker. Their children’s friends have made comments through the years about how she helped “mother” them and showed them extra love.

They are loved and admired beyond words by their family of four children, Dan (Sherri), Lynette (Steve Harris), Corinne, and Lori (Darin Christansen), and their 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
