Doug and Linda (Lott) Hymas of Rexburg, Idaho will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on August 15, 2019. They were married on August 15, 1969 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. The Hymas’s have 7 amazing children; Alice (Bart) Manwaring, Ben (Tami) Hymas, Nathan (Beth) Hymas, Anna (Ami) Floyd, Camille Griggs (Jace), Katie (Matt) Mueller, and Josh (Mindi) Hymas. They also have 28 grandchildren and 4 great grand children (with another one on the way). Doug spent 33 years with Utah Power & Light company and had an honest and great work ethic. He is an avid member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has spent most of his adult life serving in the Scouting Program. He is a loving and loyal husband and father and is admired by others. He loves to hike, camp, enjoy nature, spend time with his family and enjoys helping others around him. Linda spent most of her adult life being a wonderful mother to her 7 children and loves to spend time with her grandchildren. She brings joy wherever she goes and enjoys telling people that she is her “Royal Hymas”. She spent a couple of years working at Dr. Strobel’s office and made staff and patients laugh and feel welcome. Linda takes pride in her membership and callings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loves to spend time with her mother and siblings and enjoys traveling around the world. Doug and Linda served an LDS mission to South Africa. They are having an open house on August 17th from 5 to 7 PM at 669 Laleene Drive, Rexburg, Idaho. Friends and family are welcome to stop by and visit with Doug and Linda. No gifts, but if you have a memory of or a picture with them, please write it down or bring a copy.
