Nori Anne Jones, 25, of Pocatello and formerly of Monteview, died Sept. 28, 2004, at her home in Pocatello.

Nori was born Jan. 13, 1979, in Rexburg, the daughter of Patrick Harkness Jones and Lillian Lanore Smuin Jones.

Nori was raised in the Terreton-Monteview area where she attended West Jefferson schools and graduated from West Jefferson High School in 1997. While at West Jefferson High School she participated in track, competing in the shot put event.

During high school she worked at the Simmons Food Town in Terreton. Nori attended Ricks College in Rexburg where she worked at Broulim's and graduated with an associate's degree in 1999.

She then moved to Pocatello where she worked for various employers including JC Penney, Convergys and Idaho Commerce and Labor where she was employed at the time of her death.

Nori loved to be with others, and she collected teddy bears and friends.

Nori is survived by her father, Patrick Harkness Jones; mother, Lillian Lanore Jones; and siblings, Samantha Louise, Francis Russell (Erin Hannah Johnson), Lisa Kaye, Albert Franklin, Benjamin Lloyd, Lucy Marie, Monica Sue and Leroy Allen Jones and nephew James Christopher Daniels.

Funeral services will be held at the Monteview LDS chapel Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will be at the West Jefferson Memorial Cemetery immediately following. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Pocatello 26th LDS Ward Church at 3444 Hawthorne Road, and Monday from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Monteview LDS Church and again Tuesday from 10-10:45 a.m. preceding the funeral service. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Eckersell Funeral Home.
