YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) - A Taiwanese woman has drowned in the Firehole River at Yellowstone National Park.

Park officials said Wednesday that 22-year-old Lin Ching-Ling died Tuesday night at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Lin was from Taiwan but was working in Big Sky, Mont., and traveling with friends when the accident occurred.

Lin's friends told park rangers she went missing at about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday and they couldn't find her. Bystanders saw her submerged in the water and pulled her out. Park officials believe she was underwater for about five minutes.

Bystanders, including a doctor, and park paramedics administered CPR on Lin and she temporarily regained a pulse. She was taken by helicopter to the Idaho hospital, where she was pronounced dead at about 10 p.m.
