Rigby's Guthrie still in contention for All-around

Makale Miller in 11th place in girls cutting

FARMINGTON N.M. - Rigby's Bailey Guthrie is still in contention for the All-Around title at the National High School Finals Rodeo after Thursday's performances.

But she slipped one place from first to second despite a solid first-place ride in barrel racing Wednesday morning in 17.467 seconds.

She has 440 points, 60 behind Hollie Kucera of Atherton, Calif. who has 500 points.

St. Anthony's Makale Miller is currently in 11th place overall in girls cutting.

Rexburg's Payson Munns is 59th overall in steer wrestling.

The action continues today with the top 20 in each event moving into Saturday night's championship go round.
